Take a look at some of our Happy Tails.

Our Lily went over the ocean! She stayed at the GCHS for 2 long years. At the age of 10, with a not-too-sunny personality, she did generate a lot of interest. Lily’s spirit was almost gone and she was a most unhappy cat. Then one day we were contacted by a rescue in Germany who specializes in pets from abroad. They came for a dog, but none of ours were suitable. So they asked if we had a cat with a special need. So Lily got to travel by plane, did extremely well, got the royal treatment in a German foster home and has since been adopted. She now lives in her forever home with a 10-year old male cat. We think it is a “happily ever after” situation.
Baby Boy was found wandering on the road. Unchipped and unwanted the GCHS took him in. BB proved to be one of the most loving, friendly dogs we ever had. He got along with dogs, cats, humans of all ages, yet he did not get looked at a lot. So we put him on Wink TV with Dr Whitney Whitford, and that’s where Evette Isaacs saw him. She and her husband had just lost one of their 4 dogs. 2 of the remaining dogs are very elderly gentlemen and their youngest dog now was left without a playmate. So Evette, her husband and the ‘lonely’ dog came in, did a meet-and-greet and it was immediate male bonding. Baby Boy is now called Dude and lives in paradise.
Scrappy-Doo came to us first in 2006 as a puppy. She was surrendered because her owner didn’t have time for her anymore. She then was adopted 3 times and returned each time because of her separation anxiety. Well, thankfully on September 3 the Grenier family came in and fell in love with her. Rachel Grenier is a stay-at-home mom and was not at all daunted by Scrappy-Doo’s history. We all hope that from now on we will only see Scrappy-Doo (who is now Abigail) when she comes in for a visit.
